Situated on a quiet stretch of the North River Walk known as the Museum Reach, Hotel Havana offers a distinctive blend of vintage charm and modern comfort. With a rich and colorful history, the story of this hotel began when the tract of land was purchased in 1909 to build an elegant residence hotel. The property flourished through the roaring 20’s, survived the Great Depression of the 30’s, and was restored and revived again by some of San Antonio’s most prominent families. Hotel Havana’s latest renovation came by way of renowned Texas architecture firm Lake|Flato and was reopened in 2010 by hotelier Liz Lambert and Bunkhouse Group. The property is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and has been voted one of the nation’s best hotels by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Southern Living and Budget Travel Magazine.From the studios to the Penthouse Suite, each of the 27 rooms at Hotel Havana is uniquely appointed and designed for comfort. All rooms feature original Bastrop pine floors and are decorated with antique furniture, Turkish rugs and vintage Cuban artwork. Our luxurious bed linens are custom made and bathrooms are stocked with Red Flower body care products. Each room comes equipped with our signature mini bar featuring local and international snacks, drinks and souvenirs. The Hotel Havana also provides complimentary wireless internet access, onsite parking, pet friendly accommodations, complimentary Golds Gym passes, and a San Antonio B-cycle station located on property. The hotel is also home to Ocho, a restaurant and lounge space serving food and drinks down in the intimate basement bar and upstairs along the riverfront. WITH 27 GUEST ROOMS and several elegant indoor and outdoor event spaces to choose from, the property can be tailored to host intimate weddings, holiday parties, business meetings and more for groups of 10 to 200. Ocho Lounge and Terrace can accommodate 150 guests for cocktail receptions and 70-80 for seated dining. The second floor terrace can host groups of 50-60 for cocktails and 30-40 for seated dining. We have several other spaces that can be incorporated, including our front courtyard and our band stage area.
